Introduction to Ashtanga
Learn Ashtanga Yoga from the Inside Out. This workshop reviews the theory behind the Ashtanga Yoga System. Learn about the breath and the bandhas, the asana and vinyasa. This class provides a solid foundation for you to build your practice on.

Friday, October 7: 5 PM – 7 PM
Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle
Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, strives to restore the mind/body balance and help maintain health through a wholesome diet. In this session you will learn the defining aspects of Ayurveda, discuss ways to lead a balanced Ayurvedic lifestyle, recognize signs of imbalance (and tricks to bring your back to center), and enjoy a light Ayurvedic meal (complete with recipes for your to try at home.)

Saturday, October 8: 10 AM – 12 Noon
Beginner’s Ashtanga Led Class
Here you will be guided though the first half of the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. Enjoy the chance to flow through the postures that you learned in your introduction to Ashtanga class, receive adjustments that will help your enter and deepen the asanas, and spend some time at the end discussing and parts of the practice that you still have questions on.

Friday, October 7: 10AM – 12:30PM
Introduction to Second Series.
This session begins with a discussion on Ashtanga Yoga for a lifetime: when and how to progress in your practice. You will go on to learn the benefits from each posture, practicing entering each asana safely and correctly. Once you understand the postures you will learn how to deepen your practice while listening to your body.

Following the relaxation there will be a discussion designed to answer questions and help instill the confidence you need to continue down your personal path.

Partner Yoga Workshop with Yara
Friday, June 17th
1 - 3:30 pm

Partner yoga is a great and fun way to go deeper in your practice. The positions for two help you connect and stretch deeper with a partner. The first half of the workshop we will practice the yoga partner poses and in the second part we will learn some techniques of tai massage. You can bring a friend or we will provide you with a partner

An Introduction to Ayurveda Workshop with Sonali 
Saturday June 4th, 2011
Noon - 4pm

Ayurveda, a 5000 year old system of healthcare originating in India, is considered a sister science to Yoga.  This holistic and highly individualized method explains how our interrelationship with natures' cycles, rhythms and patterns affect our daily lives and how by making simple lifestyle changes, we can bring about true health, balance, presence and wellness.  

During this workshop, we will examine:-
- the basic principles of Ayurveda and how it works
- learn more about your personal Ayurvedic constitution and what this means in terms of diet, food choices and lifestyle 
- routines and practices to Be well and Stay well e.g. massage, cleansing practices and cooking.

We will also make our own body massage oil for you to take home, learn and practice Indian scalp massage and enjoy a light Ayurvedic lunch.
Please bring along a small towel and hair tie.
